Our Profile is Growing...Level 2!

You can actually see evidence of our new building from the road now! We've made it above ground level.

Here's another view of the block work and floor of level 2.

This is the second level of the columns that will be supporting the overhang of levels 3 and 4. They were poured with a special white concrete to match the (eventual) finish on exterior of the building. They had to be all wrapped up with insulation while they were drying - it's been frosty here in Waterloo!

Inside, we spent some time decorating for Christmas yesterday.

We took advantage of the construction wall in our Atrium to create the Holiday Wall of Awesome, which allows well-wishers to write a note or make a drawing and pluck a candy cane from the wall in exchange. The door to the construction site is guarded by jujubes and gingerbread men with construction helmets, and only elves in proper safety attire are cleared to enter.
