Pouring Concrete

It's very exciting to see the first evidence of our new building! As our president Susan Schultz Huxman noted, "It's nice to see things growing up instead of down."

A very large footing was required to support the area under the existing stair. 

This concrete goes to a depth of 7’6” below finished floor level. The hole was dug to within 1” of the water table. Ron Junker uses a large vibrator to urge the concrete to flow under the existing wall.

Luckily, Ron maintained his balance and did not fall into the 7 foot vat of concrete soup!
