Enjoy a "virtual tour" through some of our new spaces, and feel free to come in for a "bricks and mortar" tour if you are in the area!
Classroom 1208 seats 80 and boasts huge windows to let in lots of natural light. A brand new, high quality sound system, piano and staff boards make this the ideal music classroom!
Carol Ann Weaver's class were the guinea pigs in the new room. She was nervous about it but it looks like everything worked out!
Right next to classroom 1208 is Ensemble Rehearsal Room 1209. The gamelan ensemble loves having this new space so they can all spread out and have enough space.
Around the corner from the ensemble room is the new music library. Today we have a crew of dedicated students helping us to move the sheet music inside from the portable, where it has spent the last 8 months or so. The music office says they are "an organized bunch" so everything should end up in its rightful place.
We can't forget the washrooms! These lovely, sparkling clean new washrooms feature automatic faucets and lights on a sensor that turn on when you walk in.
Last but not least, new wide hallways are pleasant to walk down and chat in. This photo is taken from the doorway of the ensemble room. The classroom and washrooms are down the hall to the right, the music library is to the immediate left, and the music studios and practice rooms branch off this hallway before it ends in the lower atrium.
We hope you enjoyed your virtual tour of level one. The music department is thrilled to have a dedicated area of the building for their activities and we are all excited to get the first real taste of our new addition.
